A Lasting Power of Attorney is a legal document that gives someone (your Attorney or Attorneys) the power to look after your affairs if you become unable to look after them yourself. For a Pair of LPAs

An LPA Property & Affairs and an LPA Health & Welfare

Once your LPA has been duly signed and witnessed, it must be registered with the Office of the Public Guardian before it can be used. The OPG registration fee must be paid separately and is currently £92 for each LPA – but if you’re on a low income or receive certain benefits, you may only be required to pay half or nothing at all.
